Ryan joined AREA in June 2026 following two years at Empiric Student Property, where he worked across investment, development and asset management within the PBSA sector. His experience included delivering value-add refurbishment projects, managing a nationwide commercial portfolio and supporting wider investment and development initiatives. He also previously founded and managed a serviced accommodation business, gaining first-hand experience in securing investor funding, negotiating leases and operating residential assets.

At AREA, Ryan works in the Operational Advisory team, supporting market analysis, scheme optimisation, development appraisals and asset management strategies across PBSA and the wider living sector.

Ryan holds a BSc in Architecture and an MSc in Real Estate from the University of Reading, combining his interests in design, development and the commercial performance of operational real estate. He is currently working towards qualification as an RICS Chartered Surveyor.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys travelling, keeping active and learning Spanish, as well as returning home to Guernsey to spend time with family.
