Ryan joined AREA in June 2026 after two years working as an Investment and Development Analyst at Empiric Student Property, where he completed PBSA refurbishments, managed a retail portfolio nationwide and lead the property management team. Previously, he founded a serviced accommodation company of multiple units across the UK, using investor funding and leading on lease negotiation. Once established, he managed the company remotely while travelling.

He studied BSc Architecture and MSc Real Estate at the University of Reading, honing a passion for design, master planning and sustainable development. During this time, he played Men’s Lacrosse. After university, Ryan worked in a ski resort in France and travelled South East Asia and South America.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys bouldering, martial arts and spending time with friends. He is learning Spanish to complement his love for travelling and also enjoys seeing family back in his home island of Guernsey.
